Why is having a team member who is an American Board Certified Hair Colorist important?

The certification and recognition of high level hair colorists has been a much needed practice and vision of professionals in our industry some decades now. Luckily, there is a professional platform known as The American Board of Certified Hair Colorists. This platform’s goal is to establish an industry standard in which competence, excellence, and career achievement is judged and recognized. This process results in creating credibility in the eyes of the consumer.

The verification for the certification is not for the faint of heart. Studying for the certification process is intense, even for a career, seasoned colorist. It is also expensive and time consuming. The certification consists of multiple segments including chemistry, practical application, professionalism, client phycology, and color theory, as applies to the vocation.

For the clients here at The Root Salon, they take comfort in the fact that the colorists on our color team are individually trained by the team leader and owner of our salon. Being a veteran of the industry for forty-five years and one of the few certified colorists in the entire southwest, Lauren takes pride in this accomplishment and the fact that our color team is always at the top of their craft as we serve our guests.
