As we love to mention on this blog, you can easily book online at The Root Salon. And while we highly encourage you to do so, we also want you to be informed about how to do it. Here are a few tips and tricks to make sure you have the best experience.

When you create your account, make it simple. Though we don’t gather sensitive information from you, our system is also secure. So make your password one that’s easy for you to remember.

Have a chat with your stylist before booking online. There is a specific terminology we use here at The Root Salon to describe our services. When booking online, you choose from a list of services. Talk to your stylist at your next appointment to make sure you are booking the right kind of service with the proper terminology. This way, your stylist will have the appropriate amount of time to give you the cut, color, or style you want.

Set your profile to receive text message reminders. After logging in, click the “edit profile” link. After your enter your phone number, you’ll notice a checkbox with the label “Send SMS Appointment Reminders to my Cell Phone…”. Click the checkbox, click “Update Profile”, and you’ll get text reminders on your phone.

If you’ve forgotten your password, don’t panic. Maybe you logged in when you first heard about booking online but then went back to the old ways of phone calls and appointment books. As with most online services, it’s so easy to retrieve your password. From the “Book an Appointment” page, simply click the “Email my password to me” link. Enter your email and you’ll receive your password within seconds.

If you have any questions, just ask! If you’re a technophobe but would like to give this a try, let us know! One of our staff will happily (and patiently) walk you through the steps to set up your profile. We promise, it’s easy!
