This time of year, when the summer seems to just drag on, one of my favorite treats in the evening by the pool is a skinny sangria. It’s light, refreshing, and this recipe will have you sipping it guilt free!

Every time I entertain in the summer, my friends ask for this. Wine drinkers and cocktail lovers alike love when I serve this up.

I like to mix it up the day before I’m going to use it and keep it in the refrigerator to allow the fruit to combine with the wine for a deeper fruit forward flavor.

Because my husband is a red wine drinker, I usually make it with red wine. But, you can definitely make it with white wine, as well, and if you want it to be on trend, you could make it with rosé and entertain your girlfriends for a little Barbie-themed babe bash.

  • 1 Bottle Red Wine
  • 1.5 cups of fresh fruit such as: Sliced strawberries, bite-sized pineapple chunks, sliced oranges, and blackberries
  • 16.9 oz  club soda
  • ¼ cup Van Gogh Pomegranate vodka – this is optional – regular vodka will work, as well
  • Ice
  • Fruit for garnish
  • Stevia to taste
