The barely there ombre is the way to go!

The barely there ombre is the way to go!

Over the last few years, we’ve been Ombré-ing like crazy.

Through it all, we’ve seen the ombré color go through many transitions. Subtle, harsh, dramatic, jewel tones…the list goes on.

Today, Ombré is still on trend  but is going through yet another transition. As we’re all heading toward the warmer months, the obvious ombré (which consists of harsh lines and defined lightness towards the ends of hair) is OUT.

It’s all about depth at the root that fades into a seamless diffusion of color. This look showcases light color around the eyes and face as it plays off the client’s true natural color.

Too keep my clients current, I’ve been balancing their ombré by adding a few highlights or bringing a bit of dark throughout. We all agree that it’s time to move away from that drastic line between dark to light. With this new subtle technique, it’s flattering to use the client’s natural color to dictate how cool or warm the ombré should be. The big bonus here is that we’re simplifying a look that was already super low-maintenance.

If you’ve been sporting ombré or you want to give it a go, let us — your fabulous Root Salon professionals — help you get a flattering and current look. Remember, when it comes to ombré, less is more!
