Meet Shane: From Georgia to Arizona

That’s him. That’s Shane.

Moving to Arizona has been such a wonderful journey. Coming from Georgia, I was used to mountains and the outdoors. But the roads out here are truly breathtaking!

Just last week we took a road trip out to Payson; a short, gorgeous ride up Highway 87. From the winding roads to the great panaoramic views, don’t be surprised if you find yourself weaving a little — it’s that pretty! On that note, make sure to have your gas filled and your tires checked, because it’s out there.

We visited Tonto Natural Bridge State Park and it is not to be missed. This is a very easy hike to a huge natural bridge, where you can be a kid again and play on the rocks and not get in trouble, either!

After a long day of hiking and riding, the Verde Hot Springs is a perfect spot to end the day. With the temps in the upper 80s, I was surprised to find that the 90-degree hot spring felt so good!

The next day we headed to Fossil Creek. There’s a ten mile dirt road but don’t let that sway you — it’s the perfect time to slow down and enjoy the incredible scenery. At the end of this drive, there’s another small hike leading to the clearest of water and a picturesque waterfall into emerald waters.

With destinations like these, I’m definitely loving it out here in Arizona!
