When you work with lots of clients, you hear lots of questions. Well, we’ve got all the answers today on this blog!
Who is your most experienced stylist?
By far, our most experienced stylist at The Root Salon is Lauren Hart. Not only is she the business owner, but she has been in the business for 30+ years. She knows how to work miracles with hair (and hair stylists) and she can get clients in the door like no other. As one of her team members, I can assure you that she runs a tight ship and is a perfectionist to the extreme…this is a good thing. There’s no way I would be the stylist I am today if it weren’t for her.
With a tight ship comes a tight schedule. If a client can’t get in with Lauren as quickly as they want to, we all know to offer the potential client an appointment with a team member. We are all trained under Lauren and she has passed on her perfectionism to us! Only stylists that have received her mentorship and who have made a commitment to top quality work become a Root Salon team member.
Speaking of quality work, the next person in line for most experience is Roxanne who has been working with Lauren for 10 years. Stylist Emily Claire has been at The Root Salon for 6.5 years, and Emily B. (me) for 5.5 years. The list goes on and on to our junior staff.
How long has this salon been here?
Seven years. We celebrate our “birthday” every August!
Do you carry Aveda products?
We get this question a lot and we suspect that there’s some false information floating around the internet. We don’t carry Aveda but we do carry incredible products by Alfaparf Milano and L’oreal Expert.
How late are you open?
Most days until 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. The Root Salon doesn’t keep set hours because the salon stays open as long as it takes to accommodate our clients. We start early and work until the work is done!
Can I come in today?
To come in on short notice, you’ll most likely have to see one of our junior stylist who all work under the close supervision of Lauren. But if you’re a lucky duck, there may be a last-minute cancellation that needs to be filled with our senior stylists. We always have a number of clients waiting on our cancellation list but there’s no harm in asking!
Can I come in to get my bangs trimmed if I do not have an appointment?
Yes! All you have to do is give us a call so we know to expect you. Someone (possibly not your regular stylist) will be free to trim them for you. You may have to wait a few moments if the team is finishing up their current project but we always can trim your bangs and it’s complimentary!
