We have the basics covered on our team page, but we’d like for you to start getting to know our staff a bit better!

This month, we’re introducing our featured stylist, Emily Claire Chelgren!

Born and raised in Central Phoenix, this beauty loves to live, work, and play in “CenPho”. She has been a part of The Root Salon Team almost from the beginning. She started as our front receptionist when she was just a junior at Sunnyslope High School.

Today, as one of our top colorists, we don’t know what we’d do without her!

Emily Claire’s passion for styling hair and the beauty industry was evident as a preschooler when she would tag along to hair appointments with her mother to soak it all in. At home, she demanded her family and friends to be her “models” while she styled their locks.

Today, she couldn’t be a more passionate professional. Her advance training has taken her from coast to coast and to Europe. This fall she accompanied Lauren to the first-ever US all color conference in Miami, Florida where she was inspired by the teachings of the country’s top colorists. Some of her specialties include advanced corrective hair color, creating distinctive unique redheads, and special occasion styling.

Emily Claire absolutely loves what she does! She has a huge loyal following and it can be hard to get an appointment with this popular gal. But trust us, she is worth he wait. She works long hours with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. She takes great pride in being a team player and it shows.

As a young professional, she is grateful for the support of her career choice by her family, friends, and fellow team members. Her parents (her dad is Tim of the famed Phoenix duo, Tim and Willy) have known for years that she would go far in the beauty industry. She knows she has a long term commitment to her craft and that her future is very bright!

It must be obvious by now that we are proud as heck to have this dedicated talent on our team!
