Younger looking hair…just like younger looking skin, we all want it at some point.
Aging hair can take on a thinner, duller and more brittle appearance. We hear clients complain about it often. Unfortunately, the vast majority of women will at some point experience the disparagement of feeling like they have “old hair”.
The good news is, you can do a few simple things to help your hair look younger.
First, try to style and shampoo less frequently. When you shampoo, use products that are replenishing to your scalp. The nourishing shampoo and conditioner will keep your scalp healthy — and if your scalp is healthy, the hair strands that grow out of it will be, too.
If you’re shampooing less, you can probably ease up on the heat styling. But when you do need to heat style make sure you are using a product that protects your hair from becoming overheated or burned. One of our favorites is Semi Di Lino Styling Illuminating Thermal Protector. It seals and protects each strand from any damaging heat.
Finally, make sure to live healthy! Take your vitamins, supplements and eat good foods to help your body stay healthy and rejuvenated. Healthy fats and biotin have been reported to aid in hair growth and make hair more supple.
Additionally, book a consultation with your stylist to tell them about your concerns. If the conversation involves your overall health, we will keep all sensitive information confidential. We love to offer a customized hair care plan and we have lots of tricks up our professional sleeves to give you that youthful bounce and shine back!
