Our Forest knows how to vacation.

With summer quickly approaching, it’s time to start planning those summer vacations!

If I plan on being anywhere longer than two nights, I always book a place to stay through VRBO (vacation rentals by owner). I have never had a bad experience and it’s really nice to be in a house or condo with a living room and kitchen. This way, if you decide to do any cooking instead of eating out for every meal, you can.

My husband and I love doing road trips and bringing our two small dogs. You can search for places that are pet friendly. We just recently went to Santa Fe, NM and when I was searching for a place, more than 100 places came up that were pet friendly.

Popular vacation spots can get booked up quickly though. Especially if you want on the beach in San Diego for example. My siblings and I are going to Orlando next month and already have a condo booked to stay in while we’re there through VRBO. If you have a large group, it makes it so much more fun to all stay together. Sometimes you can find large houses that sleep 10-12 people for much cheaper per night than a hotel.

Airbnb, of course, is another website that is popular for accommodations of all types. It’s especially great if you’re looking for something super low budget. You can rent a guest room in someone’s house while they are still present in the home. Often, hosts will  guide you to some great local places to hit up.

I hope this helps with your vacation plans!
