Just say no!

Just say no!

What about that old wives’ tale?

Have you ever plucked out a grey hair? You are not alone. But, what about the old saying, “If you pluck a grey hair two more will grow back in its place?”

Good news: It’s just not true. Each hair follicle is only capable of growing one strand of hair no matter the color. But we still say you should avoid plucking! You are better off to color your grey hair or accept it.

Plucking can, in fact, lead to damaging the hair follicle permanently which can cause a bald spot. It is the same effect that happens when you over-tweeze your eyebrows and they don’t grow back.

So, put down those tweezers and talk to your Root salon specialist about the wayward grey that has you down. We are sure we have a solution for you that won’t damage your hair!
