Unlike most of the Tips & Tricks Tuesday blogs, today’s post comes from a fellow client.

My name is Lilia and while I work with The Root Salon on this blog, I am first and foremost a client of this fabulous salon.

Seriously, I would be lost without them. Case in point: My recent bout with tangled hair.

I’ve had a few years with some big changes. A baby. A career change. A new book deal. And a self-imposed commitment to growing out my hair to be super long. How long? Well, my hair currently reaches my elbows when down and I have no immediate plans to cut it. And while I like the beautiful (and functional for baby handling) braids that long hair allows, this mane can tangle.

My regular shampoo and conditioner product just wasn’t cutting the mustard anymore. So I asked for a new product recommendation from my stylist. She hooked me up with a three-part product trio from Alfaparf Milano Semi Di Lino that includes Diamond Illuminating Shampoo, Reconstruction Raparative Mask, and the Diamond Extraordinary All-in-1 Fluid.

People, this trio has saved me! Not only does my hair look amazing, but my comb glides through without any trouble saving me precious, precious time.

The application is easy. Shampoo by working the product through the hair with your fingertips (not fingernails) on the scalp. Then pull the remaining suds through the ends and rinse. Apply the Reparative Mask starting with the ends and working up while finger-combing some of the tangles. The mask should have a barely-there application near the scalp. After a rinse and a towel dry, just a dime-sized portion of the All-in-1 Fluid is worked through the ends. The comb-out only takes a mere minutes and my hair is as shiny as it was when I had that fabulous, pregnant-lady hair.

So if you struggle with tangles or any other issue that a new lifestyle has presented to your hair, talk to your stylist. You don’t have to suffer anymore!
