This may look good conceptually. But in real life, when I’m sitting in my cubicle…not so much.

My name is Lilia Menconi and I have a problem.

I am majorly deficient in my scheduling skills. Often when I check out at the end of a color appointment, I only take the time to schedule one more visit. And sometimes, I’m ashamed to admit, I don’t book anything at all.

So, inevitably, my regrowth begins to show. Right around the time I should be getting a retouch, I call in, spend 10 minutes trying to find an appointment, then keep my fingers crossed that someone might cancel on a Saturday (yeah, right) so I can get in soon. Weeks later when it’s time for my appointment, I sheepishly walk through The Root Salon doors with not-so-hot-lookin’ roots.

Without getting too technical, this makes for a more challenging color appointment. Of course, my colorist always nails it (Lauren, you’re the best!). But if I only had the discipline to plan in advance, I’d avoid the guilt and the complication. Not to mention, I wouldn’t have to walk around with noticeable regrowth. What is wrong with me?

It’s shameful.

But I found a cure. As I write this, I have three upcoming color appointments on the calendar. Three!

How did I manage to so easily change my behavior?

I discovered the ease of online booking.

Seriously, people, this feature is like a magic spell that fixes all my pathetically-poor-planning skills and keeps my hair looking amazing all the time. I logged on, did a few quick searches with the calendar software, and swiftly booked my appointments. It was so simple!

Laziness, shame, and regrowth…be gone!

So if you’re calendar-challenged like me, I urge you to give online booking a try (click here). You’ll totally love it.
