As promised, here’s your 2nd installment in a row of our summer style top 5 questions. Today, see what senior stylist Emily Claire Chelgren want to share about her hot-weather style.

What are your top 5 favorite items of clothing, shoes, or accessories in your closet right now?

Tube top dresses, wedges (!!!), rose gold Michael Kors watch, Victoria’s Secret PINK v-neck cotton shirts, and my top-knot doughnut!

What’s a hot-weather look (hair or clothing) that you’d like to try out this summer?

Neon colors and prints! Also mismatching…on purpose (gulp)…not a strength of mine!

What’s a fashion faux-pas you see every summer (and wish you’d never see again)?

Cut-off shorts and uggs!!! Ughhh!!!! Over it! Though I’m a HUGE fan of my cut of shorts for running errands or by the pool (or a night out at a fun country bar with cow girl boots) but no more of this ugg business!

Which celebrity or designer is your summer style inspiration?

I can’t think of a specific celebrity for inspiration but I do most of my shopping at Express, Macy’s, Target, Old Navy, Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack.

What’s a fashion tip or trick you rely on to stay cute even when its 115 degrees out?

TOP KNOT, TOP KNOT, TOP KNOT! Also lighter more natural looking make up. If i can get away with tinted moisturizer or BB cream instead of full foundation, that’s what I do. I wear as little clothing as possible but am careful to look cute and not trashy. A good example is a tube top dress, a cute necklace, sandals and of course…a top knot!
