Sneaky (And Easy) Ways To Burn Calories

Have a cup…or eight!

So us women seem to always be on the hunt for easy ways to burn more calories. This week we have rounded up a handful of things that will help you lose weight that you may not have thought of before.

Drinking green tea made our list. I drink a lot of tea but clearly I need to switch from black to green. Apparently experts credit green tea’s polyphenols, which are rich in antioxidants and can help your body more effectively break down fat. However, a cup or so won’t cut it. Research showed that you would have to consume from three to eight cups per day in order to see any serious fat burning results.

You nervous type gals are usually thinner for a good reason. Fidgeting, it turns out, burns an extra 350 calories per day. I guess it pays to be a little anxious! Maybe take a yoga class to calm yourself and burn even more calories per day.

Draw a hot bath! This is our favorite for sure. Researchers conducting a study concluded that soaking in a hot bath burned as many calories as cycling for one hour. I don’t know about you, but I would love to do a double whammy and go for a long bike ride and then soak in a hot bubble bath. What a dream way to trim the fat!

Our least favorite way is cleaning your house. Cleaning up every surface in a normal-sized bathroom can burn the same amount of calories as taking a brisk walk for the same amount of time. I would personally rather go for a walk. Even washing and drying a sink full of dishes burns 100 calories. That could earn you an extra glass of wine after dinner!
