I’m super excited that the evenings are cooling off! Gone is the horror of 100 degree temperatures at 10 o’clock at night.
This is the beginning of what I like to call patio season. The time of year when you and your friends can gather at your favorite restaurant or watering hole and enjoy good conversation, big laughs, and the beautiful weather.
There are so many options in Phoenix to experience this and new places seem to be popping up every day!
One of my favorite spots is Hula’s Modern Tiki on 7th St and Coulter. Its fun atmosphere and all-day happy hour on Wednesday make the perfect place for friends to gather and commune outdoors. Even if the patio is full, the entire restaurant can open up to the outdoors so you still get the patio experience and cool evening air.
I also love, love, LOVE the Welcome Diner on 9th St and Pierce in the downtown area. It’s nestled in the Garfield Neighborhood which adds to its hipster, casual feel. The large patio with picnic bench seating makes it easy for big groups to gather or make new acquaintances by joining a table.
With so many options in phoenix, it’s impossible to list all my favorites. I recommend you get out there and experience as many as you can before next summer makes these gathering spots unbearable during the sweltering nights!
