I'm in love.

I’m in love.

Attention everyone: We have a new fav product at The Root Salon!

Our beloved salon owner, Lauren Hart, traveled to New York to study with her color mentor Beth Minardi (I wanna say this happened about 4-5 years ago). While Lauren was there, Beth was working on releasing her own  product Line… Minardi!

Today, we are all embracing one of her best products. It’s called Mindardi Glisten. And it’s just one more excuse to adore Beth Minardi.

Beth Minardi is a huge color mentor for us when it comes to learning color. She knows the chemistry of products backwards and forwards (not to mention, she’s a perfectionist who won’t put her name on anything less than perfect…can you see why we gotta love her?!?).

We slowly brought a few products into the salon to play with. Amongst those products, my favorite is Minardi Glisten. Hands down.

Minardi Glisten is a serum that she describes as “color reflecting drops” that you distribute into wet or dry hair. It has a very “velvety” feel in the hair. I find that no matter what hair type I apply Minardi Glisten to, it leaves the hair feeling soft and light.

Most of my clients walk out the door with a bottle of Minardi Glisten and, recently, it has been my go-to styling product. Not only do I use it religiously at work, but I can’t live without it at home.

Just a tip for those of you with “frizzy-ish” hair, I suggest mixing a few drops of Minardi Glisten serum with Gel Cocktail for a super sleek style.

Swing by the Root Salon and ask about Minardi Glisten. Trust me, you won’t be able to leave without a bottle of your own!
