In the fashion industry, a new trend seems to be big buy outs and mergers of some of the most iconic brands.
Recently Michael Kors bought out Jimmy Choo for 1.2 billion. This comes after the recent merger of Coach, Kate Spade, and Stewart Weitzman.
So what do these mergers mean for some of our favorite brands?
We all know that Jimmy Choo is known for being one of the most popular and best-selling footwear brands and is a staple on the red carpet. We’re happy to learn that Michael Kors isn’t planning on changing the iconic brand. In fact, they are keeping the Jimmy Choo management team and staying with its glamorous style.
What does this mean for Jimmy Choo? Cheaper prices causing an evolution for the shoes to become more mainstream?
Only time will tell!
