We asked our newest team member, Kira, to share some of her story with us. Welcome to The Root Salon, Kira!
Becoming a very creative person at a young age, I grew up expressing myself through different forms of art. After high school, I decided to follow my passion for creativity where I received an associates degree for studio arts. During that time I began working front desk at a salon, where I discovered the art of hair.
I was determined to make hair my new canvas to create art with. This past September, I completed the Cosmetology Program at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. After the program I decided to return back to my home state of Arizona to be near my family where I could begin to grow my career.
I have a passion for bright, blended and lived-in blondes. But also love to create colorful looks with vibrant fashion colors. Being versatile is important to me, which is one of the reasons I chose to work at The Root Salon. Each team member at The Root offers something different to learn from, having ongoing education from each of the stylist is what makes an assistant more knowledgeable & versatile.
When I’m not in the salon you can find me around town heading to the farmer’s market, going on a hike with my dogs, cooking in the kitchen, or lounging around poolside. I am always one to be outside, absorbing up the Arizona sun.
