You can make this look happen!

You can make this look happen!

We all know and love that lived-in look. It’s edgy, easy, and really looks great on anyone.

My favorite way to achieve this look starts with your blow out. I first put Aveda Volumizing Tonic at the root, then I apply Aveda Brillant Texturizing Gel mid lengths to ends. I then rough dry the hair (using a blow dryer but just running my hands through the hair) until it’s completely dry and apply Aveda Air Control hair spray to hold any natural curl.

Then I hit it with the curling iron. The thickness of your hair will determine what size barrel to use (I use an 1 1/4 inch). I wrap the hair around the barrel leaving the ends out, and I switch directions with every section.

If you finish with the curling iron and the ends are too curled, simply smooth them out with a flat iron. In fact, this look can also be achieved using a flat iron to bend the hair.

When done, I apply Aveda Defining Whip on the ends. And the most critical part of this technique is practice! Practice makes perfect, after a couple times you will be a pro![/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
