It's tough to take time to style hair when a kid this cute is on the loose!

It’s tough to take time to style hair when a kid this cute is on the loose!

My name is Roxanne and I’m a mom who takes the time to style my hair.

Prior to having my daughter (my sweet Phoebe Grace), I had plenty of clients tell me  they didn’t have time to style their hair in the morning so they needed a simple cut. They requested a haircut that would require no blow dry, no round brush, and no time.

I remember thinking, “Oohhh, please! You have time!”

Welp, my phoebe is almost 10 months old now, and I ain’t got no time for styling my hair! But, I make the time. I don’t want to skip that 15 minutes and, hours later, look at myself and not be proud of my cut and color.

I have a few tips for other busy moms who want to make the time.

I wash my hair the night before, applying an Alfaparf pink vial throughout my hair. I let it dry natural then throw in some loose curls when I wake up. This styling routine only takes about 7 minutes out of my morning.

I don’t wash my hair every day. For my second day hair, I apply L’Oreal’s dry shampoo Fresh Dust to my scalp and comb it through.

Roxanne and Phoebe Grace!

Roxanne and Phoebe Grace!

I mix it up with quick updo’s. Seriously, thank goodness for the Top Knot. To help create this look in a snap, the Root Salon sells a foam “doughnut”. Make a pony tail as tight as you can to the top on your head, place the doughnut at the base of the pony tail, back comb your hair a bit, then separate the hair around the doughnut and start bobby pinning. Finish this stlye of our Osis hair spray,  and feel proud for the rest for the day.

I think it’s important for moms to feel great about themselves and pass along their confidence to their precious kids!
