It's Kenya!

It’s Kenya!

“It all starts at The Root!”

My name is Kenya and as the Salon Coordinator for The Root Salon, I’ve learned one thing: ALL of our clients are trying like mad to make sure they have beautiful hair for the holiday season!

Myself and the rest of the team are working day and night to fulfill our clients’ needs. We’re runing a tight ship these days seeing clients who booked months in advance alongside clients who are eagerly waiting on a cancellation list. With so many of our beloved clients feeling a bit frazzled by holiday pressures to get shopping, cooking, and cleaning finished on top of having to look great while doing it all, we can offer a little advice to keep you all from stressing.

To avoid the madness, your best bet is to book your holiday appointment way in advance. We all know how time can fly so don’t leave this important step to the last minute. The best method is to choose a day that typically works for you (i.e. Saturdays at 11 a.m.) and book regularly for the months leading up to the holiday. This way, it’s built in to your schedule so you and your family know to expect it.

Once you have your appointment, keep it. Setting dates in advance will only alleviate stress if you can commit to the date. Let your family know that when season kicks up and things get crazy, your hair appointment is a priority and should not be changed. We understand that unexpected things can happen and sometimes you’ll have to reschedule. But trust us when we say it will save you a lot of sanity to make the commitment up front!

If you have to cancel, give us a call as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it. Don’t procrastinate! With more lead time, we have a better chance to accommodate a reschedule for you. And if we aren’t able to fit you in immediately, we can add you to a cancellation list. In both scenarios, the sooner we know, the better!

I must add that our team is dedicated to you so we do try and meet your needs to the best of our ability 24/7. It is because of you that our salon is flourishing and it is with your cooperation that helps us maintain a balanced schedule. I would like to thank all of our clients for maintaining great relationships here and being very flexible with all of us.

I wish everyone a safe and fabulous holiday season!
