Just like everyone else in the modern world, we at The Root Salon love online tools. And for us, it’s all about online booking.
Instead of having to catch us during operating hours, dialing a phone number, and talking to a human (a WHAT?!?!), many of our clients prefer to quietly book their appointments from their smartphones or other devices.
Simple, right?
Maybe not. There are some things you should know before you fire up the iPad…
Consider the varying schedules. Each of us work a slightly different shift and our appointments book fast with our loyal clientele. Plan to book 3-4 weeks in advance in order to get your preferred day and time. If you need to get in right away, you may have to switch some things with your own schedule to get that immediate appointment then just book ahead for additional visits. Remember, you can always book a time then ask to be added to our cancellation list!
Know what you want. With the online booking tool, there are so many options for type of service (cut, color, glaze, mini glaze, aaah!) it’s tough to know exactly which is what. This is why we strongly urge our new clients to book a consultation first so we can make sure you have the right information to book successfully. For existing clients, be sure to check in with your stylist to know what your service is called on our online booking site.
Stick with your stylist. Each of our talented team members works at a different pace. So booking a color with one stylist may not require the same time commitment as another stylist. Knowing who you’re working with in advance will give you the experience you’ve come to expect.
Embrace it! Once you’ve got the very few kinks worked out with this online booking thing, it can make your hair beauty life WAY easy. Many of our clients book an entire year’s worth of appointments in advance. We never have to worry about scheduling the next appointment or getting in during the busy times of year. We love it and so do our clients!
