It’s crazy to think I’ve been doing hair for 16 years. Growing up, hair was my passion and it remains my passion to this day.
When I was in high school I would style everyone’s hair for prom or dances. I would also do a lot of the girls’ hair from church for events.
What I love about my career is the people; my clients. It’s the clients that keep me going and each one brings a different experience every time. Every day is different and my daily work never feels the same. I’m so lucky to be in a career where I get to meet people daily and build friendships that I might have never have had the opportunity to otherwise.
I look back over my career and I can still say I am thankful to five people in my life who lead me to next opportunities. I’m still very good friends with each of these people and around Christmas I usually call each of them just to check in and say thank you for all they have done. I seriously feel my success has been a team effort and for that I will always be so grateful to each person who has helped me reach the next step in my career.
So very thankful for everything hair has given me in my life, more than I could’ve ever imagined and it involved a lot of hard work and long hours! But when you love what you do, it’s more than worth it.
