What are you eating? Longer, stronger hair depends on foods that are rich in biotin. Biotin is a B-complex vitamin, and has been proven to be essential for promoting hair growth. Try to have a palm-size serving three times a day. It can be found in eggs, almonds, and avocados. Iron is also important to hair health. It oxygenates your follicles that produce hair. Iron rich foods include chick peas (think hummus), oatmeal, meat, and spinach.
Another healthy hair practice is to give your scalp a monthly deep cleaning. Your scalp (especially in the winter when you are cold and don’t shampoo as often) builds up excess oils, styling products and dead skin cells.
