Ever dare to be a red head??
Being a red head is for the bold, not-scared-to make-a-statement kind of gal. Someone who doesn’t shy away from the attention it comes with, and someone who is willing to push the envelope!
I’ve been a red head for years, and every tone of red that I’ve been I’ve LOVED!!! Here are all the ins and out to have this amazing color:
First and foremost, forget about washing your hair in that warm lovely hot water, and say hello to cold washes!! As a matter of fact, ditch even wanting to wash your hair because to make that vibrancy last, minimal washing is a must. Of course, when you have to wash your hair (don’t give it up entirely!), just be sure to use cold water.
Second, dry shampoo is going to become your best friend! It’s an essential to help you get through those fewer washes (the Aveda Shampur dry shampoo is my favorite).
Another tip is to use styling tools! I can’t stress this enough, but styling your hair with a bold color like red, is a must! It exposes so many beautiful tones in the hair.
And finally, red is a color that requires a refresh about every 5-6 weeks. Nobody likes a dull red head. Just like no blonde likes yellow, I don’t wanna see a red head looking orange!! That’s a no-no and I’ll politely pass you my card if I see that!
Other than constant compliments and lots of fun, red heads are truly something to appreciate!!
