Straight hair is very desirable...unless you're born with it, of course.

Straight hair is very desirable…unless you’re born with it, of course.

For this Tips and Tricks post, we are talking to a very specific group of people who have chemically relaxed their natural curls. Often, we have very curly-haired girls dreaming of straight, shiny locks (the grass is always greener, isn’t it?).

A process that chemically relaxes the curl also makes it very, very week and vulnerable. This head of hair is one of the most fragile hair clients we see.

This means you need to reach for shampoos and conditioners that have oodles of hydration but not so much that it will drag down your style. Deep conditioners and shampoos that contain rich oils and super hydrators will give you that shine and “slip” you desire with out leaving a gunky build up.

We love the Precious Oil Tradition line from Alfaparf. This luxury line is sulphate free and is oil based to fight any frizz, elevated shine and keep your relaxed hair looking amazing.
