Did you know that today is International Women’s Day? It’s true! As we celebrate this important day, we tip our hats and give a great big “atta girl” to women everywhere. People around the globe are taking time to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. As a woman owned , local business, today is especially important.
We would like to give a shout out to some women we particularly admire and tell you why.
Let’s start with Sonya Dove. For more than 20 years, Sonya, (a native of Great Britain), has inspired stylists worldwide with her modern and innovative approach to cutting, coloring and styling. Her work has graced many magazines worldwide, while still managing to maintain a clientele at The Doves Studio in Santa Monica, Calif.
Next up is Beth Minardi. Beth has dedicated her career to the elevation of salon coloring to an art form. As an internationally acclaimed colorist, educator and product consultant, she is recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in all phases of coloring. She has mentored hundreds of colorists around the world and continues to due so now.
Another truly accomplished woman is Cassie Siskovic. Cassie is the National Artistic Director at Alfaparf Milano and the brands’ Global Ambassador. Throughout her career, she has proved her talent in salons, on stage and in the digital world. For over ten years she has been an educator. It is a passion she wants to keep nurturing by helping other professionals reach a new level while working on her own skills, too.
These women continue to inspire colorists around the world and are shining examples of female greatness in a male dominated profession. We thank you for your dedication to our industry.
