Touch is a very important part of what we do.

We are licensed to touch people.

Most professions aren’t. Teachers, grocery store clerks, accountants…these jobs don’t require constant person-to-person contact.

Our job does. And it’s an important part of what we do.

When my client comes in, right away I start combing their hair. Then we head over to the shampoo bowl and I give a soothing scalp massage in the sink. You wouldn’t believe how many times a week we all hear, “This is my favorite part!” It makes me feel great to provide a little comfort to my clients.

It’s a great reminder: Find what you love to do and you will never work a day in your life. I actually get to live my life this way!

If I couldn’t do hair, I would want to be a therapist. I love helping people. And I do…by making them feel beautiful. And it’s my hope that the physical change breaks through to something deeper. I want every one of my clients to feel like their confidence is lit up from within!

I like to think that we have the opportunity to touch people emotionally. I have an open heart and I’m always happy to listen to what is going on in your life. If you want advice, trust me, I’d love to give it! But I know that most of the time, you might just want to vent. That’s okay with me because I know how important it is to talk. Express. In that expression you could find some progress in a difficult situation.

And at the end of this “therapy session” you better believe you will leave with some Victoria’s Secret-lookin’ hairstyle!
