As beauty and culture professionals, we are often asked by our clientele for travel ideas. If you’re looking to get away for two or three days, Bisbee, Arizona is the place to be!
I love traveling and I especially love finding charming towns in Arizona. Bisbee is about three hours south of Phoenix and worth every minute of the drive. This quirky city is not only rich with history and art; the weather is great, especially during the summer.
During the early 1900s Bisbee enjoyed a copper mining boom and was the largest city from St. Louis to San Francisco reaching to about 11,000 people. It is one of the coolest experiences walking through the city knowing and imagining the history of its old architecture.
The city is popping Thursday through Sunday with tourists from all over AZ. There are cute little boutiques, art galleries, antique stores, museums, and, of course, my favorite, ghost tours! All of the local people and businesses are amazing and friendly. On the way to Bisbee, you can stop in Tucson or Tombstone. I highly recommend staying at the Copper Queen Hotel, The Shady Dell, or one of the cute Airbnb places around the city.
If you have any other great finds in Arizona let me know!
