Are you a pet owner that loves to take your animals everywhere?
Trust us, we get it! Many of us are dog owners and we love having our pups with us as much as possible.
Unfortunately, the salon is not a dog-friendly place. This is not our choice, of course!
The State Board of Cosmetology does not allow any animals in a salon. In their words: “No animals or pets shall be allowed in a salon, with the exception of fish kept in closed aquariums, or trained animals to assist the hearing impaired, visually impaired, or the physically disabled”.In fact, a salon’s license to do business could be revoked if this rule is broken.
So if we have to turn you away because you brought your pet to your salon appointment, it’s not because we want to!
That’s not to say we’ve never had an occasional Saturday pet visitor swing by when their owner is purchasing product or some other quick errand (did we mention that inspections never happen on a Saturday?). But, much to our disappointment, we can’t accommodate pet companionship for an entire appointment.
If we had it our way, we’d be much more pet friendly!
