Clean me! (But don’t wash with water.)
Okay, so you have that favorite brush that your stylist recommended and it really does work! You’re getting your style to look just like it does when you leave the salon. But these days, it’s looking a little worse for wear.
If your brush seems to have more of your hair stuck in it than you have growing on your head, don’t panic, it’s pretty normal. You will always shed hair as you are blow-dry styling your hair. Cleaning your favorite brushes is super simple with this handy trick.
Just take a regular comb and run it across the hair -filled bristles of your brush (sort of in a raking motion). The comb will dislodge the tangled hair from your brush and you can just remove it from the comb and toss it away.
You really shouldn’t wash a brush that is made from natural bristle with water. You want the oils from your scalp that have accumulated on the brush to remain there as that is what smooths and softens your hair when you style your hair. Just use a dry towel to wipe away any scalp flakes that are on your brush and, just like that, your old trusty styling tool is like new!
