This is The Lob. And beautiful girls keep asking for it.

You already know about the bob that’s been a classic look for ages. And long hair is another solid stand-by.

But these days, I’ve been seeing a lot of requests for the perfect mix of these two tried and true looks: The Lob.

The Lob is a long bob. I’ve been cutting a lot of them lately. And I love them.

I can learn about upcoming fads from magazines, blogs, and at trend release shows. But, as a professional who fulfills the hair needs of real women every single day, I’m on the front-lines of emerging fashions. Recently, at least five young, beautiful clients have sat in my chair and asked for The Lob. That’s when I know this is a look that will stay around.

The Lob is a fresh choice for a client with smooth hair. That doesn’t mean that my curly hair sisters should stray away —  a long layered lob can be worn with sexy, loose waves.

The best thing about The Lob? You can still pull it up for a classy updo or a convenient ponytail on your day off.

Have a seat in my chair and I’ll cut the perfect lob for you. My secret is to cut it at a subtle angle. Creating that dynamic line, in my opinion, is what really makes the cut.

The very talented and beautiful Roxanne has been been transitioning my long hair into a Lob and I am loving it!! It is shorter but still long enough to pull back. Another plus is I can wear my hair natural (thick wavy hair) or blow dry straight and it looks great both ways! Thanks Roxanne!
