So, I just recently traveled to a very humid location. I bought a brand new tube of my favorite mascara that is by no means inexpensive. On the first morning of my trip I got out of the shower and started applying my makeup. My excitement for the day quickly turned to frustration as I tried to curl my eyelashes and apply my mascara. My lashes would not hold a curl and my mascara was clumping. I got pretty mad thinking I purchased a bad tube of mascara!
When the same thing happened the next day I started laughing at myself. I realized that not only was the humidity making my hair stay wet, it was keeping my eyelashes wet, too!
I grabbed my hair dryer, set it to low, and dried off my lashes. I then used my dryer to slightly heat up my eyelash curler. The results were perfect! Long, lush lashes just like I enjoy in the heat and dryness of the high desert.
It was pretty funny looking back at it, never thought about the hair of my lashes being subject to the same effects of humidity as the hair on my head!
