It’s springtime in Arizona and like most people, I like to get out and enjoy the gorgeous weather by exploring the different hiking trails around the area. I’ve hiked Camelback, Piestewa (Squaw) Peak, Tom’s Thumb, South Mountain, North Mountain, and am slowly starting to venture out of the city limits a little bit.
I really enjoy hiking because not only is it great exercise, but the scenery is so different from what I’m used to (I’m new to AZ) and that in itself is so refreshing! However, what is even more refreshing than a new hike is treating yourself to a cold brew when you are done!
Being from the Pacific Northwest, I am no stranger to microbreweries and breweries in general, but it seems like they are just starting to catch on in Phoenix. So, now along with trying new hiking trails, I’m on a mission to try all the breweries in the Phoenix area.
So far, OHSO, Angel’s Trumpet, Mother Bunch, Four Peaks, and Phoenix Ale Brewery (our neighbors!) are some of the favorites, just to name a few!
Hiking and drinking some cold beers, not a bad way to spend an Arizona spring!
