Let’s talk about the masque from the all new Absolut Repair Lipidium line! The main difference from this new masque and line is the added lipids, which create an insulating barrier to lock in essential nutrients.
The clients who would most benefit from this product are those who like to change hair color often (going back and forth between different colors), the mega blondes (if you want to be blonder and blonder every time you come in) and maybe those folks that like to use a lot of heat to style their hair (blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, hot rollers).
Depending on how often you wash your hair you can use the masque once a week, every other week, or once a month. If you’re an ultra-blonde (or if your hair has some leftover damage from your former salon) you should use it once a week.
As with any conditioner you don’t need to put it on the roots. If you have some breakage around your hairline you can work a little bit onto those pieces with your fingertips but you mainly want to put the masque onto the mid lengths and the ends of your hair. This way it won’t weigh down your roots (this is especially important if you have finer hair). You want to use the Absolute a Repair shampoo and then the Absolute Repair Masque. Leave It in for 2-3 minutes and rinse. It’s also good to rinse with cool water.
This masque is amazing in the fact that is able to penetrate all way the down to the cortex of the hair! It helps with the missing cuticle scales, which are the outer layer of the hair. When the cuticle is damaged it can make your hair look “crunchy” and dry.
If you have cracked inter-cellular cement this product can help to mend that as well. This is the layer between the cuticle and the cortex. If your hair is extremely dry, the inter-cellular cement may not be complete, exposing the cortex. This product can help with that!
The Phyto-keratin + Ceremides also help the middle layer by filling the cuticle scales to reduce breakage. The lactic acid reconstructs the cortex to revert hair into a healthy state. To top it off, the lipids create an essential barrier to lock in all the other important ingredients.
