It’s time for another Root Salon Stylist Questionnaire!
Emily Claire is the latest member of our team to weigh in about her superior style when it comes to head-to-toe looks from the past and some forward-thinking styles for the future.
1. What’s your favorite head to toe look you’ve worn in the past 6 months?
My favorite head to to look I’ve worn in the last 6 months would be loose, beachy waves in my hair. I’m growing my hair back out but I like my shoulder length style right now and it works so well with our new texture spray by L’Oreal – I LOVE IT! I love to wear this ‘do with plain black tee, skinny jeans, chunky black wedges or heels with a big, jeweled statement necklace by J. Crew.
2. What’s a head to toe look you can’t wait to try out in the fall and winter season?
Honestly I’m not quite sure what new trend I’m looking forward to. I keep a pretty consistent style for most of the year because our weather (aside from summer) doesn’t change too drastically. Though I’m thinking I’ll probably try out some novelty prints and gold jewelry. As for my hair I am growing back long but I might go for more middle part and long face framing since I ALMOST have my fringe grown out again!
3. What’s the wildest or most fashion forward look you’ve ever sported?
I don’t know if it’s the wildest outfit, but for the NAHA (North American Hairstyle Awards) this past July in Vegas, I rocked a new black and white printed dress (kinda short) with a neon lacy bralette that showed through a little. I added tall wedged Steve Madden heels with gold straps across the foot. I had my makeup done with heavy gold and teal smokey eyes with false lashes. I roller set curled my hair, brushed it out and pinned the sides back (very much inspired by Betty Draper) and a big beaded orange statement necklace that looked a little bit like coral.
4. What’s a hair trend that you wish was still in style?
Long fringe!!! I love bangs, and I love fringe/bangs with long hair! I love them on me but with our hot summer I don’t like feeling like I have a blanket across my forehead. I’m also honored to be a part of Emily B.’s wedding and I want more options for updos without fringe! I am sure I will cut them again at some point but for me I have had them for a while. So, at the moment, it’s not fitting with my current looks because I want more styling options and this hair change.
5. What’s your #1 source for hair, fashion, and general style inspiration?
I was just saying the other day that I’m in need of more inspiration! Though Glamor Magazine on Instagram has been a standby source for me. And as much as I can’t stand them and I’m embarrassed to say…the Kardashians (hey, they know how to look good). I also look to my teammate Emily B. because she always knows what’s in! When in doubt she’s my go-to!!
