And we found some fun facts and figures recently that make a perfect blog post for The Root Word. Take a look at a few of the results about hair trends from a recent poll by Initiatives Magazine.
Can you believe that the average age that a woman begins coloring her hair is 23? Well, we would have guessed younger than that based on all of the teen guests that we performed `Ombre hair color on this past year.
According to Initiatives Magazine, of the salon clients polled, a generous 45% of guests who color their hair said that natural tones best described their most desired end color result when leaving the salon with new color. We would call that pretty accurate as we have seen guest after guest ask for a more natural look. Some even opt to go back to their deeper, more genuine color. However, it is still winter so we expect we’ll start to see a change as warmer temperatures begin to arrive.
And last but not least, of the stylists polled, 42% of them said that the health and amount of shine left in the hair were factors they consider the most important when deciding to use a specific line of hair color. Yikes! Just 42%? Come on people! Here at The Root Salon, health and the resulting shine are the number one reasons that we choose the hair coloring products we use.
